From a paella festival at Surf City to a “nerd” games night at PS Wine Bar — here’s the best of what’s going on in Jersey City this week.
Paella Fest at Surf City (Monday)
Paella Fest is back at Surf City. Enjoy 10 different paella dishes from a Lobster Paella (pictured) to a Vegetable Paella. The Spanish rice dish is served in a traditional paella pan that can feed two or three people. All of the paella dishes (with the exception of two) are priced at $24.95. There’s also a Classic Paella ($34.95, clams/mussels/squid/shrimp/octopus) and an Arroz con Leche “dessert” Paella ($19.95). The paella menu will be available through Sunday, August 26.
Ghostbusters at J. Owen Grundy Pier (Monday)
Who you gonna call? Tonight’s Movies in the Park features a free screening of Ghostbusters at the J. Owen Grundy Pier (next to the Exchange Place station).
Jungle Boogie at LITM (Tuesday)
Get a jump start on the Pride festivities with Jungle Boogie — a JC Pride dance party open to everyone who loves good music, dancing, and drinks.
Music at the Fountain at Lincoln Park (Wednesday)
Music at the Fountain returns with a free performance by The Bottomless Mimosas — a local band that’s part bluesy and somewhat loungey. The family-friendly event runs from 7pm to 9pm.
Nerd Night at PS Wine Bar (Wednesday)
Get ready for a night of your favorite nerd games at PS Wine Bar. The night’s list of games includes Dungeons & Dragons so far with more games to come.
Dinner in White at Van Vorst Park (Friday)
Head to Van Vorst Park tonight for their annual summer sendoff. Bring your own dinner and drinks and the Van Vorst Park Association will provide the table, utensils, chairs, lemonade, dessert, and live music. Tickets are $25/pp.
Go Summer Shopping at Corgi Spirits (Friday)
Shop, eat, and drink at Corgi Spirits’ Summer Shopping Soirée — a pop-up of local, luxury handmade goods that will be on sale at the distillery’s tasting room.
