Vegan cafe now open near JSQ
Rosita’s Yah is a new vegan cafe that just opened near Journal Square. The cafe is run by Rose Montesquieu, a partner at New York’s Terri cafe. They’re open weekdays from 7am. (203 Academy Street)
Mardi Gras at The Boil (Tuesday)
Recently opened Cajun restaurant The Boil is celebrating Mardi Gras with $12 Frozen Hurricane specials. Roll up your sleeves, order some crawfish, and throw back a few Hurricanes. (8 Erie)
Mardi Gras Wine Dinner at La Côte (Tuesday)
CoolVines is teaming up with French restaurant La Côte for a Mardi Gras Wine Dinner. Plus, you’ll enjoy a zydeco musical performance during dinner. Reservations are required and the cost is $75/pp. (199 Warren Street)

Fat Tuesday at South House (Tuesday)
South House is kicking off Fat Tuesday with its Black Light Glow Party — a night of drink specials, live music, and Cajun eats. Doors open at 4pm. (149 Newark Avenue)
Surf & Turf Fest at Zeppelin Hall (Thursday through Sunday)
Surf & Turf Festival is back at Zeppelin Hall with 7 new surf & turf items on the biergarten’s menu. They include a Classic Surf & Turf entree ($29), Surf & Turf Empanadas with beef and crab meat ($13), and a Dino Rib w/ Whole Lobster for two ($65). (88 Liberty View Drive)
Tiki drinks and Hi-Tide Recordings at Cellar 335 (Thursday)
Every last Thursday of the month, Asbury Park’s Hi-Tide Recordings will spin loungey doo-wop sounds at Cellar 335. The record label is owned by husband and wife team Vincent Minervino and Magdalena O’Connell. Here’s a sample of what you might hear them spin Thursday night. (335 Newark Avenue)
Rombauer Vineyards Tastemaker Dinner at Ruth’s Chris (Friday)

Kona tap takeover at the Corkscrew Bar (Friday)
