From holiday pop-ups to a guest pizza chef at Razza — here’s the best of what’s happening in Jersey City this week.

Swiss Cheese Pizza Tour at Razza (Monday)

Guest chef Elizabeth Falkner is bringing the first ever Emmi Swiss Cheese Pizza Tour to Razza tonight. Dine on pizzas made with Emmi cheeses as well as special Emmi cheese boards. (Pictured is the Emmi Le Gruyère AOP).

Holiday Pop-Up at The Ashford (Monday)

Looking for some last-minute gifts? The Ashford is hosting a holiday pop-up at its rooftop bar this evening. Enjoy holiday cocktails and photos with Santa (as well as a kids craft corner) as you shop local gifts and eats like Coco & Cream coquito cupcakes. Plus, Next Chance Rescue will be on site with pets looking for permanent homes.

Winter Delights Fundraiser at Corto (Tuesday)

The Corto and Riverview Wine are teaming up for an evening of food and wine during the Winter Delights Fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit the gardens and programs at Pershing Field. Admission is $125/pp. It includes a 4-course dinner with wine pairings.

Ani Ramen Soul of Sake (Tuesday)

The last Soul of Sake of the decade is here. Ani Ramen is hosting its monthly Soul of Sake dinner tonight — a night dedicated to pairing sake and whisky. Admission is $38/pp and it includes two featured sakes, one featured Suntory whiskey, one appetizer, and your choice of a bowl of ramen. Tickets are also $42/pp at the door.

BOGO Lobster Rolls at Hooked JC (every Tuesday in Dec.)

Our favorite seafood restaurant is offering a buy one, get one free deal on lobster rolls every Tuesday this month. They’re open till 10pm on Tuesday and they’re also BYOB.

Harborside Whole Foods Weekly Market (every Wednesday)

While we wait for the opening of Whole Foods Jersey City, the Amazon-owned market is partnering with Harborside for a Weekly Market — every Wednesday from 11am to 3pm. Enjoy fresh Whole Foods pastries and artisanal treats inside the Harborside Atrium.

Music Night at Manny’s District (every Wednesday)

Waterfront bar and lounge Manny’s District is getting into the music scene. Every Wednesday, the lounge will showcase a local band from 5pm to 7pm.

Live Music at Cafe Esme (Thursday)

Cafe Esme is celebrating its last live music session of the year tonight with Ashley Sweetman. The free performance is from 5pm to 6pm at the cafe at 485 Marin. (They’re actually on 8th street just off Marin).

Pianist Envy Opens at 100 York (Thursday)

Pianist Envy is a new LGBTQ-friendly piano bar opening in what was formerly Los Dos. After a delayed opening, Pianist Envy will officially open Thursday, December 19 at 6pm.

Ornament Painting, Beer & Gelato (Friday)

Departed Soles and Bucket & Bay are teaming up for a family friendly night of crafts, beer, and gelato. For $10, you’ll get a full pour of beer, a blank Christmas ornament to decorate, and a token for a free children’s gelato at Bucket & Bay.
