Favela do Portuga at Broa Cafe (every Monday in November)
Every Monday in November, Broa Cafe will host Favela do Portuga — an in-house pop-that will highlight the food of Brazil. Dishes will include moqueca de peixe (a hearty fish stew), farofa com bacon, and more.
Book Release Party at The Archer (Tuesday)
Mixologist Natalie Jacob is celebrating the release of her book Mod Cocktails with a book release party at The Archer. The book features modern takes on classic cocktails from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
DIY Flower Workshop at Harborside Atrium (Wednesday)
Petal + Eon will be hosting a DIY flower workshop at the Harborside Atrium this afternoon (from 11am to 2pm). In the span of 10-to-20 minutes, you’ll make your own flower arrangement with real flowers that have been organically preserved to last a year. Admission is $25/pp and includes a 6-inch vase, one Eon flower, and an unlimited selection of decorative flowers.
Cajun Fest at Zeppelin Hall (through Sunday/Nov. 24)
Enjoy a New Orleans feast during Zeppelin Hall’s annual Cajun Festival. Zeppelin’s “Cajun Menu” includes dishes like Shrimp & Grits, Salmon Jambalaya, Crawfish Boil, and plenty of Po’Boy options.
Open Mic Night at Butler Cafe (Thursday)
Butler Cafe is the BYOB cafe located inside CoolVines Powerhouse. Starting today, Butler Cafe will host a recurring Open Mic Session on the first Thursday of the month. The cafe will provide a PA and mic for performers. The BYOB event is free and anyone can sign up to perform (max 30 minutes).
Whiskey 101 at Jersey Wine & Spirits (Thursday)
Jersey Wine & Spirits is teaming up with Barrell Whiskey for a Whiskey 101 Class that’ll be held at Jersey Wine & Spirits. The class will cover everything from flavor profiles to different distillation techniques. Plus, you’ll get to try five Barrell Whiskey varieties. Admission is $30/pp.
Wine & Farmers’ Market Dinner at Frankie’s (Thursday)
Frankie is hosting a wine tasting and farmers’ market dinner tonight. The 4-course dinner will be paired with 8 wines. Admission is $65/pp.
Departed Soles Tasting Room 4-Year Anniversary (Friday)
Local brewery Departed Soles is celebrating its tasting room’s 4-year anniversary by debuting 7 rare beers. (Two of them will be gluten free, whereas others will be barrel-aged beers).
