DomoDomo Grand Opening at Urby (Monday)
The soft launch is over. DomoDomo Jersey City officially opens today for lunch and dinner. The restaurant just won — for the fourth consecutive year — the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2020 award. The award is given to restaurants that make “it possible to order two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for around $40 or less.”
Chopped Viewing Party at Würstbar (Tuesday)
Milk Sugar Love owner/chef Emma Taylor recently competed in Food Network’s Chopped: Sweets Showdown. Würstbar is hosting a viewing party tonight and you’ll be able to order the dessert that Taylor made for the show (in addition to Würstbar’s excellent beer selection).
Mom Meet-Up at The Cliff (Tuesday)
The Cliff is kicking off a new series of mommy meet-ups at its restaurant this (and every) Tuesday at 10am. The casual meet up gives local moms a chance to talk, learn, and listen to one another about any and all baby-related topics.
Beer & Oyster Festival at Zeppelin Hall (Wednesday through Sunday)
Heads up, oyster lovers. From Wednesday through Sunday Zeppelin Hall is celebrating Shucktoberfest and offering Blue Point, Raspberry Point, and Malpeque Oysters for just $1.50/each.
Manny’s District Grand Opening (Wednesday)
There’s a new cocktail bar in town. Manny’s District Lounge officially opens today (at 4pm) inside the Harborside Atrium. The new lounge offers cocktails, beer, and wine in a cavernous space that also houses art installations and pool tables.
Artists Talk & Mural Slideshow at Andco (Wednesday)
Co-working space Andco is hosting an artist talk at 7pm tonight with Rubicon1. The casual Q&A talk is your chance to meet the artists and ask questions about his work.
Baijiu Tasting at Riverview Wine (Thursday)
Baijiu is the world’s most consumed spirit. Find out what it tastes like at Riverview Wine — which is hosting a free (informal) baijiu tasting at the shop today from 6pm to 8pm.
Barcade 15th Anniversary Party (Thursday)
Barcade is turning 15 years old today. To celebrate their birthday, Barcade is rolling out a special tap list of rare beers including: Founders KBS Imperial Stout 2015, Abita French Quarter IPA, Weyerbacher 22nd Anniversary, and more. The bar will also be giving out prizes and merch throughout the night.
The Lost Boys at the Loew’s Theatre (Friday)
The Lost Boys is one of the best vampire movies ever made. The Loew’s Theatre will screen it in 35mm film on their 50-foot screen. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for kids/seniors.
