All work and no play makes for a boring week. From Zeppelin Hall’s Street Foods of Asia Festival to Atlas’ Meet the Brewer Dinner — here are our top picks for the coming week.
Monday: Zeppelin Hall’s Street Food World Tour is moving east from Latin America to Asia. The new Asian-inspired menu — available through July 30 — includes entrees like Thai Curry Samosas ($6.95), Pad Thai Noodles with Chicken ($8.95; pictured below), Crab & Shrimp Spring Rolls ($9.95), and Green Tea Cake ($6.95). Tuesday: Summer weather can only mean one thing — it’s time to take your workout outdoors. Head to Hamilton Park and join Maximum Motion Fitness’ Kim Jeblick for free yoga and meditation at the park. Class starts at 7pm; bring your own mat/towel.
Wednesday: Atlas Public House is hosting a Meet the Brewer Food and Drink Pairing with New Jersey’s Brix City Brewing. The 5-course beer and food event starts at 7pm and costs $50/pp.
Wednesday: Newport’s outdoor movie screenings start today with J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The movie starts at sunset in the park directly across from bwè kafe.
Wednesday: Join award-winning photographer Tatsuro Nishimura — who has photographed for everyone from Food Network to Bucket & Bay — at &co for a Camera Basics 101 class. The class, which runs from 6:30pm to 8pm, will cover all the basics of properly using SLRs, point-and-shoots, and mirrorless cameras. (The event is bring your own camera). Admission is $40/pp. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be provided.
Thursday: Enjoy a Montalbera Wine Tasting at Satis Bistro. The 5-course dinner and wine pairing will feature wines from the Castagnole Monferrato region of Italy. The event costs $65/pp.
