Developers eyeing Bergen-Lafayette as next frontier
Downtown may get all the attention when it comes to luxury high-rises, but developers are now eyeing Bergen-Lafayette as the next frontier. Located west south-west of downtown, city officials are pushing to turn the area into a high-density, transit-oriented community for families. They’re encouraging developers with 20-year tax abatements and other incentives. —NJBiz
Hyatt House now open at Exchange Place
The Hyatt House Jersey City at 1 Exchange Place is now open for business. The extended stay hotel opened on November 28 and offers pet-friendly accommodations, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24/7 gym access, a free business center, and same-day laundry/dry cleaning services. The 258-room hotel also features the Terrace Bar and Dining Area, where guests (and the public) can enjoy food (Korean tacos pictured above) and craft cocktails. The Rooftop at Exchange Place, however, is not slated to open till March.
Squeeze’d Juice & Wellness Bar opens in Bayonne
Jersey City’s popular juice bar Squeeze’d is soft opening its first juice bar in Bayonne this Thursday, December 7. Located at 586 Avenue C, Squeeze’d Juice & Wellness Bar will celebrate its soft opening with free samples from 11am to 3pm. The juice bar itself will be open from 9am to 6pm.
Italian Wine Dinner at Pasta Dal Cuore
CoolVines and Pasta Dal Cuore are teaming up for a 6-course Italian Wine Dinner next Tuesday, December 12. The dinner will feature the wines and cuisine of northern Italy. Tickets are available through CoolVines.
