Battello is back. After closing for mandatory pier repairs, the waterfront restaurant will reopen this Thursday, January 24.
Jersey City Upfront confirmed the opening date with Battello co-owner and executive chef Ryan DePersio (The Kitchen Step, Fascino).
Battello is keeping its nautically-inspired Italian menu, but revamping it with new dishes. New entrees ā which chef DePersio has been spotlighting on his Instagram ā include everything from sea scallops to octopus and lobster.
Similarly, The Kitchen Step’s Ray Keane is curating Battello’s opening beverage list with new cocktails such as The Mumford (Misunderstood Whiskey, lime, cardamom), The Royal Navy (Corgi Earl Grey Gin, chamomile, lemon, cucumber bitters), and the Battello Old Fashioned (Evan Williams Black Label Bourbon, hibiscus, duo of bitters, in a smoked glass).
Located at 502 Washington Boulevard, Battello will reopen for dinner on Thursday with lunch service to return the following week on Thursday, January 31. Brunch will return on February 9 from 11am to 2:30pm.
