The pandemic has forced many restaurants to go touchless, whether it’s through the use of digital menus or smartphone-based apps. Automat Kitchen embraces the touchless motto providing a 100% contactless experience from start to finish.
Located at 525 Washington Boulevard, Automat Kitchen offers modern comfort food made to order. The concept is based on the automats from the past, which were built to save time and money. Owner Joe Scutellaro has been working on the concept for over 15 years and has modernized it for 2021.
Orders can be placed via your smartphone or online via their website. You can also order in person at the eatery by scanning a QR code or via one of Automat Kitchen’s kiosks. (Orders are placed without interacting with anyone). When your food is ready, you’ll receive a unique code via text. Upon replying “open” to the text message, your locker will automatically open so that you can remove/take your food.
