We’ve got more details on the new Ani Ramen House opening at 218 Newark Avenue. Per Eleven Hospitality Group, Ani Ramen Jersey City is expected to open in late September. The Jersey City location will offer the Montclair restaurant’s highly acclaimed Japanese ramen noodle soups (noodles made by Sun Noodle — which was featured in this lengthy Eater story), pork buns, and crispy gyoza. The 2,000 square foot restaurant will house a total of 110 seats.
Ani Ramen House will offer a full bar (max seating of 15) serving craft cocktails with a Japanese twist, sake, a selection of Japanese/Asian beer, and wine. There will also be a selection of Japanese whiskeys from Suntory Whiskey.
Additionally, the Jersey City outpost will have a secluded outdoor courtyard (max seating of 30) featuring a yakitori grill where guests can enjoy the new yakatori menu.
Night owls will be pleased to hear that the restaurant will offer a late night bar menu, so you can potentially get your ramen fix past normal dinner hours.
The new space is being designed by Pixel Experience and will feature mural artwork by artist Rich Tu.
