A new Asian supermarket will open its doors this Friday at the former Pathmark location at the Old Colony Square Shopping Center (420 Grand Street).
Originally based in California, 99 Ranch Market has over 43 locations nationwide, but the Jersey City location will be the company’s second storefront on the East Coast. Its first East Coast store is based in Edison, NJ. The 50,000 square foot Jersey City market will offer fresh produce, meat, seafood, imported snacks, sauces, and specialty goods.
There will also be an in-house bakery and a gourmet hot deli serving Asian delicacies such as roast duck and Cantonese style dim sum. The market opens at 9 am on Friday and the first 200 customers are promised a surprise gift.
