One of our favorite cafes has permanently closed one of its locations. 9 Bar Cafe has closed its coffee house inside the Urby Jersey City tower at 200 Greene Street. The announcement was made via their social media account.
“Thank you for all the loyal customers we’ve accumulated throughout our stay at our Urby Greene St location,” reads the post. “Our Erie St location will still be up and open, with extended hours on the weekend.”
The 9 Bar Cafe at Urby made it onto our list of the best cafes in Jersey City. In addition to the excellent coffee, we also liked it for their spacious, lounge-like vibe. Their location at 18 Erie Street remains open.
Update: A Jersey City Urby resident informs us that Canard Cafe Bar will take over the 9 Bar Cafe space later this month.
