What was once an empty parking lot is now a luxury, 18-story rental.
485 Marin is Hamilton Park’s newest — and biggest — rental building. Situated directly across from Newport Centre Mall, the building houses 397 residences, many of which feature private terraces.
Developer KRE Group worked with architect Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) and interior designer Christopher Stevens to create a building that would fit into the neighborhood. Unlike KRE Group’s 53-story Journal Squared tower — which sits on a bustling transportation hub — 485 Marin is situated in a tree-lined neighborhood with multiple brownstones. So the new building is clad in red brick with a distinctive gap down the middle that creates a corridor for existing residents of the area. In other words, existing residents won’t be staring at a big, rectangular tower.
485 Marin will consist of studios to three-bedroom units and residents can expect top-tier amenities such as a fitness center, private dining room, screening room, bike storage, on-site covered parking, and an attended lobby. Residents will also have access to Hello Alfred, an on-demand concierge platform that’s currently exclusive to residents of KRE Group buildings.
The fifth-floor amenity deck will house a swimming pool, sunbathing lounge, outdoor showers, and grilling stations.
In addition to having Newport Mall and the Pavonia PATH station next door, 485 Marin will also sit on a privately developed public park offering residents a place to relax and decompress after coming home from work.
Leasing is expected to begin in May with studios starting at $2,350/month.
