Jersey City isn’t the fittest city in the nation — that distinction belongs to Arlington — but if you’re looking for a fierce workout, we sure know how to bring it.
This fall, Vita Athletics will be the latest studio to expand to Jersey City, with a new studio that’ll be located at 133 Second Street (corner of Second and Provost).
The Summit-based gym specializes in high-intensity training and will offer two types of classes: Vita Tempo (a high-intensity workout) and Vita SGX (obstacle-based training).
Classes will start as early as 5am and athletes will be able to track their numbers with the help of fitness trackers and post-workout e-mails that provide you with all of your personal stats. (You can check out Summit’s pricing here, although it’s not clear if Jersey City pricing will be the same).
Recovery meals (salads, smoothies, high protein meals, etc.) will also be provided at the studio and delivered daily from Vita Athletic’s Summit location, which features a built-in kitchen and cafe.
If the “Vita” name rings a bell, the owners of Vita Athletics also own Pizza Vita, though sadly, their pizzas will not be available at the gym.
Vita Athletics is expected to open by October 1.
