Residents of Hamilton Park will soon be able to feast on truffle-infused gouda sandwiches.
Van Hook Cheese is preparing to open Van Hook Outpost — a cozy, new sandwich shop that will carry Van Hook’s signature grilled cheese sandwiches.
Located at 232.5 Pavonia Avenue (next door to Madame Claude Wine), Van Hook Outpost will feature outdoor seating and a walk-up window counter where customers will be able to order from the shop’s rotating menu of grilled cheese sandwiches.
The shop will also offer a few cold sandwich options, drinks, chips, and a handful of cheeses — such as balls of fresh mozz and wedges of parmigiano reggiano — from its flagship shop on Jersey Avenue.
Van Hook Cheese owner Carl Chastain is looking to open the shop sometime in August to coincide with Van Hook Cheese’s two-year anniversary at 528 Jersey Avenue.
