Fancy yourself a ramen fan? Ani Ramen and Sun Noodle are hosting their 2nd Annual “Slurp. Sip. Repeat. Ramen Eating Contest” at Jersey City’s Ani Ramen restaurant next Monday, October 9.
The rules are simple and the stakes are high: The individual who can eat the most bowls of ramen in 15 minutes (or the person who inhales 10 bowls first) wins the competition. The prize — in addition to bragging rights — is an all-inclusive chef’s tasting dinner for 10 people at Ani Ramen, a sweet $1,000 value.
Second and third place winners will each receive a $300 and $150 gift card to Ani Ramen, respectively.
The contest will be held at Ani Ramen Jersey City at 218 Newark Avenue on October 9 from 7pm to 9pm. If you can’t attend the noodle debauchery, the event will be streamed via Ani’s Facebook page. The deadline to enter is Monday, October 2.
To enter, contestants must e-mail info@aniramen.com and pay a $50 (minimum) donation. Funds will benefit No Kid Hungry, a campaign that connects kids in need with nutritious food.
So get ready to slurp, sip, and repeat x10.
