Last night, the long-awaited Piggyback Bar temporarily opened its doors for a preview night of service offering delicious eats, non-stop beats courtesy of Jersey City’s own DJ Neil Armstrong, and spectacular views of New York.
Owned by culinary power couple Leah Cohen (Top Chef alum) and Ben Byruch, Piggyback Bar will specialize in American bar food with Cohen’s trademark Asian twist.
Press, friends, and family were treated to sample multiple menu items, from the delicious fluke ceviche in coconut milk to Cohen’s infamous BBQ ribs — a staple at her Lower East Side restaurant, Pig & Khao.
Piggyback Bar will be open for lunch and dinner inside the Harborside Terminal (at 230 Hudson Street) this Thursday and Friday.
