Downtown Jersey City’s first Korean BBQ restaurant is on schedule to open in about two weeks. Located at 8 Erie Street — the former home of Bell + Grey — City 8 Korean BBQ is looking pretty close to finished and has undergone a pretty big makeover.
The HDTVs are still there, but gone is the long bar counter that formerly occupied the left part of the restaurant. In its place are dozens of BBQ tables, each fitted with their own proper ventilation.
Over on the right you’ll find a few more tables with some chalkboard illustrations explaining different cuts of meat. The restaurant is currently undergoing staff hiring/training, so a grand opening can’t be too far off.
